Vancouver, CANADA, October 07, 2019WISI America announced today that it is Great Place to Work® certified for the second year in a row.  WISI America is the North American headquarters of WISI, a global leader for over nine decades in video reception and distribution technology. WISI has 11 offices worldwide and specializes in providing cutting-edge video delivery solutions to operators in over 150 countries.

Great Place to Work® certification is based on direct feedback from employees through an extensive and anonymous survey about the workplace experience.

WISI America is proud of its certification statuses, especially during a year of change. WISI, previously Inca Networks, underwent a major rebrand in 2019, and it was important to the company to maintain its strong culture and collaborative team spirit while redefining the brand.

“The certification helps us determine if the improvements we make are having a positive effect. It provides a framework for continuous feedback and improvement of our company culture, and most importantly, it keeps us focused on what is best for our employees,” stated Robert Bell, CEO of WISI America.

Early in 2019, WISI America introduced changes to the workplace to nurture its culture of transparency and continuous improvement. Regular employee feedback workshops were scheduled throughout the year to review and understand what employees value in the workplace. Based on feedback from the workshops, WISI America invested in team-building activities such as weekday hikes and outdoor activities, shared bikes for the team to use on local trails, and a new BBQ to host regular team lunches.

Another focus for the company in 2019 was increased learning opportunities for individuals early on in their careers. In recent months, WISI America welcomed several interns and co-op students to the company. The new team members, as with all new staff, received full industry and product training during their first week and attended regular Lunch and Learn sessions to learn more about the company’s history and the development of video technologies.
